I could not close my eyes or even blink them. My tongue was almost completely paralized and I was unable to talk. I was just beside myself with worry and pain. My family doctor told me I would have to wait 6 weeks before he could start treating my condition or order physical therapy. My friend would not hear of it and took me to see Dr. Zhou the same afternoon I received the dreadful news. Dr. Zhou started treatment right away.
